I learned video editing in Last Cut Pro 7 and I hated Final Cut Pro X for quite awhile–information technology was too much like iMovie on steroids for my liking–but it's grown in my esteem since then. Lite years better than Adobe Premiere Pro (and also cheaper in that you might be paying 30 or twoscore dollars for your Adobe subscription, but if y'all desire to access those files you have to continue paying. And paying, making Final Cut Pro X a genuine bargain). It'due south a nifty application and like most Apple software, way more intuitive than it has whatever right to exist.

Cannot recommend FCPX: the UI is cluttered, birdbrained, and slow. Media management is cumbersome, and even the most bones adjustments utilise OS9-like controls. Yesterday I (very sadly) removed FCPX and Motility from my calculator. Blackmagic DaVinci Resolve offers much better blueprint, interface, command, media direction, and speed. Apple has given little dear or support to professional users in this, and many other 'Pro' apps. I didn't abandon Apple – they abased me.

Best movie editor coin tin can buy.

Last Cut Pro 10 is the best money can purchase. You tin can a lot for the 'low' toll compared to any other pro editing tool. With the new Touchbar it seems to be fifty-fifty more than interesting. If only had $2700 for a new MBP. :-)

cant see improvements it's rather less user-friendly like most stuff Apple does lately, at present information technology requires more clicks to change timeline thumbnail size not to happy so far..

The best NLE so far and with many reasons. Fast to edit, huge for organising media, fast to render and share (consign), no headaches when it crashes, crawly multicam features, etc, etc. I realised some facts a while ago… Who says that FCPX is a bad NLE are always those who actually never tried it.
